Florida-based Dean Insurance Agency opened its doors in 1994 as a Property & Casualty insurance firm and in 2012 decided to focus exclusively on providing Canine Liability Insurance to pet owners throughout the country. The decision to focus on Canine Liability insurance (formerly known as Federation of Insured Dog Owners, aka F.I.D.O.) was sparked by Debbie’s love for dogs and her in-depth understanding of their behavior. She put her passion and insurance knowledge to work to create an insurance policy that filled a gap in the industry. Since then, more than 10,000 Canine Liability policies have been issued.
Because of Debbie’s tenacity and ability to create an underwriting and rating approach that was inclusive of all types of breeds, dog owners have the peace of mind and protection they need in the event their dog injures someone or causes property damage.
